There are many benefits of coffee, actually more than we can imagine. A new study has determined that drinking 4 cups of coffee a day can extend your lifespan by 64%.
The morning coffee we take as well as the mid-morning and a lunch coffee too may be doing more than you realize.
The 10-year-long study from the Seguimiento Universidad de Navarra Project looked at 20,000 middle-aged Mediterranean residents. Over a decade, researchers gathered information from National Death Index on mortality rates from study participants and their families.
From this data, excluding the 337 participants who died during the length of the study. The researchers have determined that, those who drank at least four daily cups of coffee, lowered their risk of death by almost 2/3. The results have been compared to those who rarely or never drank coffee.
Another study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine determined that, after looking at more than 500,000 European participants over almost two decades, coffee drinking was associated with reduced risk of death from various causes.
